error 1069

I have the evaluation edition (new one) running very well on my win2k
desktop. After installing it on my xp laptop I get error 1069 - the service
did not start due to a logon error.
Anyone have an idea what is causing this?

GaryCheck the service account for the MSSQLServer service. Make sure it is not
disabled, locked out or set to "user must change password at next logon." If
it's none of those, you may want to re-enter the password.

Error - Installing Client Tools - Sql Server 2005

Hello

I am trying to install client tools on my desktop and I am getting the following error :

Edition Change Check (Warning)

To change an existing instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 to a different edition of SQL Server 2005,
you must run SQL Server 2005 Setup from the command prompt and include the SKUUPGRADE=1 parameter.

This error , I am have seen in the logs.

The installation wizard is closing down with the above log error.

ThanksSounds like you have a previous install on there. I would check to see if you can uninstall the previous version, then re-install the version you want. Either that, or find the CDs from the original install.|||I have tried to uninstall and re-install everything , but still I am struck.
