After installing the 8.00.0818 patch i receive this error messages in the log
trying to schedule the backups at night, it occurs after approx three minutes
1. Error 17883 The Scheduler 0 appears to be hung
2.Time out occurred while waiting for buffer latch type 2,bp 0xe501c0, page
1:15), stat 0xb, object ID 2:1:2, EC 0x36F094E8 : 0, waittime 300. Not
continuing to wait.
3.Waiting for type 0x2, current count 0x2a, current owning EC 0x3CD3D570.
any suggestions

There was an issue with 818 see

although I don't think this is necessarily causing your problem.
Check out http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;309093
Check the event log for any hardware related problems, particularly disc
errors. Look at perfmon for high disc queue lengths.
Try running DBCC CHECKDB.
