Hi
There was an issue with 818 see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];Q826161 try patch to
819 or 878 http://www.sqlsecurity.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=37
although I don't think this is necessarily causing your problem.
Check out http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;309093
Check the event log for any hardware related problems, particularly disc
errors. Look at perfmon for high disc queue lengths.
Try running DBCC CHECKDB.

Error 14266 - Is 11:59:59 PM not a valid time?
I created a DTS package and wanted to schedule it to run at 11:59:59 PM. I
could not save the schedule.
An error "Error 14266: The specified '@.active_end_time' is invalid (valid
values are: before or after @.active_start_time). The job was not saved."
I tried 11:59:58 PM and 12:00:00 AM, both schedules can be saved. Why
11:59:59 PM not ?
Please help,
It sounds like this is from what you are selecting in the
daily frequency section when you schedule the job.
Without the details of this, I'd guess you are selecting
something like "occurs every 24 hours" with "starting at
11:59:59 PM" and "ending at 11:59:59 PM". That will give the
error you have.
If you want the job to run daily at 11:59:59 PM, select the
"occurs once at " option (the first one in the daily
frequency section). It will run once a day (or at whatever
interval you have set or want set in the Occurs section) at
11:59:59 PM.

The scheduling wizard assumes that the end time is 11:59:59 PM. This is
why you get the error 14266. Enter any other time and it will work.
You can easily verify this by entering a different time and saving it.
Then right click on the associated job. Select "All Tasks > Generate
SQL Script...
A dialog box will appear "Generate SQL Script - SERVER NAME/JOB NAME"
Click on the preview button. Click on the copy button and paste into a
text editor. Search for "@.active_end_time"
you will see that it is set to 235959.

Error 1203
I am running a script on a schedule and I get this error quite often:
Unspecified error occurred on SQL Server. Connection may have been terminated by the server. [SQLSTATE HY000] (Error 0) Process ID ## attempted to unlock a resource it does not own: OBJECT: ## . Retry the transaction, because this error may be caused by a timing condition. If the problem persists, contact the database administrator. [SQLSTATE HY000] (Error 1203)
If I keep rerunning the transaction, it will eventually succeed. I am running SQL Server 2005 with SP1 installed. Does anyone know what this means and what would cause it to fail sometimes and succeed other times?
Thanks
This often indicates some sort of corruption in your database. See BOL topic below for more details:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa337285.aspx
|||It does not appear to be any sort of corruption. The DBCC CHECKDB returned no errors. Are there any other things that could cause this besided database corruption?
Thanks.
|||In that case, you will have to contact PSS to open a case so they can investigate further. This can also be due to a bug in SQL Server lock manager code caused by your workload/configuration. Btw, if you haven't applied the latest service pack of SQL Server (SP1) and the cumulative hotfix please do that first to see if you can repro the problem.
