I feel that Service startup account for SQL Agent do not have previlages in
registry. Can you add that user in Administarter group and try starting
the SQL agent service.
Verify, what is there in SQLAGENT.OUT file ?

settings for this service to log on account smt, which should have Administrator
permissions.
9. Start the MNTOOL service, from the Service menu, and it should remain

What does this mean?
Where can I find discription of error codes? Why is there no further text in the Exception object?
I checked the parameters set in oCmd and they seem to be correct.

The error indicates a SQL parsing error at character 133. Change your parameter names from :1 to @.1 (and so on).

Error (re)installing Sql Server 2000
Hi,
while reinstalling Sql server 2000 (after complete uninstall process),
system says:
"previous installation leaves suspended operations on files into computer.
It needs to be restarted before executing installation program."
Problem still remains , also after resterting pc many times, so i can't
reinstall Sql server 2000 cause there are no skip possibilities to this
dialog box.
I try to restore Ms Server 2003 Enterprise: the problem still remain...
