Error "-2147168246 (8004d00a)" Failed to Enlist on Calling Object'

I checked what suggested with
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;191168.
The pingtest results are OK.
Is there any other check to do in order to solve this problem?
Thanks,
LucaHi
What about the other suggestions in the 191168 or
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/193893/EN-US/
Which version of MDAC are you using?
Are you using Oracle?

Server running our SQL Server 2000 SP3 database server. Transactions from
our Windows 2000 Server SP4 application server give the same exact error. It
is basically a VB application trying to connect to the application database.
Ping tests work fine. DTC tests fail with same error.

Error

Can anyone explain me this error message and why am i
getting it:
Distributed transaction completed. Either enlist this
session in a new transaction or the NULL transaction.
[SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 8525) [SQLSTATE 01000] (Error
7312). The step failed.
thanxs!Hi,
Your transaction may be timing out. By default DTC transaction Timeout is
set to 60 seconds .
If this is not long enough In component services\computers\my computer
right click. select properties and select
the options tab and increase the transaction timeout (you may set this to 0
and the transaction will not time out)
Thanks
Hari
