I followed the tip above but it didn't work. anyone know of other workaround
?
I restore a copy of my Production DB on a TestDB, the scheduled jobs get
copied over as well. Cannot removed these job frm the Test DB because of
error 14274.
I logon the Test DB on workgroup, rename to original server name (on
workgroup because the Production still exist on the network), tried to
delete the jobs, SQL doesn't allow also. At the moment, I stopped the SQL
Agent Service to prevent the jobs frm running.
How to remove the jobs in the Test DB for good ?Don't bother with the rename stuff. Simply update the originating_server
column to reflect the new server name.

Error 14274
I am trying to delete a job, but keep getting the error 14274. It says thta
I can not dlete the job because this job originated from an MSX Server.
I would appreciate any help on this subject.

How can I delete defenitely the subscription from that database?

subscription doesn't exist... I'm also sure that I've written correctly all
the parameter, namely the publisher name, publisher db and the publication
name.
Do you think that there is another problem?

How can I discover which USER NAME failed the login?

Error (1552) ODBC, Insert Execute Error
Hi, I have a program called dbms/copy that I use to conver clarion database tables. The program first creates the table, if already exists I delete and recreate. This part works fine. When it tries to insert the records I get the following error message:
Error (1552)
ODBC, Insert Execute Error -> Buffer Contained 100 Records but only 0 Records were written
I created a System DSN ODBC link to the SQL Server. I tried using the "sa" user, as well as creating a user and checking off all available permissions. It seems to be a permissions problem to me, although it appears I have permission to do everything. It is definately able to connect since it has no problem creating/deleting/recreating the table in the SQL Server database.
I tried doing the same import with an ODBC connection to a Microsoft Access database and it works without any problems.
Any idea what's giving me this error?I turned on ODBC tracing and the following errors showed up in the SQL.log file:

Error "Lock Request Time Out" when deleting a record
Hi all,
I'm trying to delete one record from application but I get an Error :
"Lock request time out periode exceeded (37000) was experienced when
deleting a record from dbo.fe9srjh".
I'm using SQL Server 2000 SP3. What should I do ? Thank's a lot ..

yuliusSomeone has a conflicting lock which cases your LOCK_TIMEOUT setting (set by
the programmer of your
client application) to time out. Use sp_who, sp_who2, sp_lock, Current Activ
ity in EM to find out
who is locking the resource. When you find that person, talk to the vendor o
f the application that
the person is using and have them figure out why the long lived lock.

Erroneously deleted stored procedures
I have a teammate that, in an excess of zeal, managed to delete a majority of stored procedures on a production database, causing numerous jobs to fail. Additionally, there were no receint backups of this database taken, but the transaction log is still in place and has not been truncated. Is there any way to recover these stored procedures that I am unaware of?If the database is in the full recovery mode, you may be
able to do point-in-time restore to get back your deleted
procedures (if the log backup chain has not been broken):
1. Do a BACKUP LOG first
2. Do (using pubs as example)
restore database pubs from disk='...'
rstore log ... -- if any
restore log pubs from disk='...' -- the last log backup
with recovery, stopat = '20031010 17:59:59'
The STOPAT time should be before the time the procedures
were deleted.
