"MSDTC on server 'N\2984CABA-D249-43' is unavailable"
I am using Sql 2005 Express Edition
What does this error mean?
What should i do?
I had the same error - it's the Distributed Transaction Controller service that isn't running.
I found that if you go to Control Panel > Admin Tools > Component Services and then right click on My Computer, you'll see that there's an option to stop MSDTC - it seems that just getting this far automatically starts it. From here you can also view transaction info from the Distributed Transaction Coordinator folder.
If this doesn't work for you, then I'm afraid I can help no more!
